ANNA CURRÁS

Ana Currás born in Miami, Florida and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico has been a resident of Central Florida since 1989.
She discovered her passion for the arts through dancing and had the opportunity to play significant theatrical roles as well as choreographing musicals during college. Ana has managed to stay close to the entertainment industry throughout the years and especially through her four children who continue to cultivate the arts through promotion, music and dance.
Enhancing her knowledge in the media arena, Ana served as the coordinator of a news-entertainment TV program. The printing business is a family tradition which started with her grandfather in Honduras, Central America. Ana has occupied various positions in the newspaper business for over 21 years which is the reason she notes that she has ink flowing through her veins.
Ana Currás is a member of the National Association of Latino Independent Producers, Women in Film and Television, the Arts & Cultural Alliance of Central Florida and the Orlando Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Captivated by the independent film industry and as the Orlando Hispanic Film Festival Director, Ana continues to nurture her passion for the arts and is committed to help facilitate the collaboration of artists with Central Florida's organizations and diverse community.
